I am currently working on Paramour, the Cirque Du Soleil show opening on Broadway in Spring 2016. I began my career in Shakespeare and the Greeks with a classic theater company I founded in 2000. During this time my work consisted of Shakespeare, Greek Playwrights (Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus), Scandinavian writers (Ibsen, Strindberg) and new plays. I have directed classic works at Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, SC Upstate Shakespeare Festival, and Mythmakers Theater Company. At Graduate School at UCSD in 2006, Des McAnuff invited to me to become the global associate director on Jersey Boyson Broadway, which I maintained on Broadway and later staged in venues around the world. This expanded my career to musicals, which I have directed musical productions at St Louis Rep, Ars Nova, York Theater Company, HERE Arts Center and NYMF. In 2012 I directed the Big Apple Circus productions Legendarium at Lincoln Center and this further expanded my work into the world of sawdust. In circus I directed Big Apple Circus' Metamorphosis, the Martial Arts Circus Panda!, with performances in Beijing and Las Vegas, and the air sculptural spectacle Air Play which is currently on a worldwide tour and premiered at Playhouse Square Cleveland. I am married to the director Shelley Butler, and together we have a perfect child named Dashiell.
